Social Care

SkyddaCARE recognizes what a vital role staying connected plays in the lives of seniors. Our SkyddaCARE Stars utilize popular platforms like email, Facebook, FaceTime, Skype, etc., to help our seniors connect to family and friends.

Studies have shown that access to social media as a way to stay connected can reduce depression in seniors. One study found that there is a physical reaction on seniors who are active on social networks like Facebook and seniors have a positive experience when measured by brain stimulation and breathing rates.1

According to a University of Calgary study, it is further expected that decreased loneliness, increased social support and higher engagement in meaningful activities will be associated with better health functioning.2

Our SkyddaCARE Stars are a solution to senior isolation while promoting emotional wellness.
